A common theme in my work is the amazing skies that show up, unobstructed, in our Oklahoma landscape. I didn't know that as a child, I must have been a Woody Guthrie fan as barbed wire fences and no trespassing signs meant very little to us kids. We traipsed over many a farmer's pasture and woods in our day. And now when I see an old oil road heading off into the wilds of Oklahoma, it just beckons me forward.
Here is the line from Oklahoma born, Woody Guthrie ( whose birthday is this week )
As I went walking I saw a sign there
And on the sign it said "No Trespassing."
But on the other side it didn't say nothing,
That side was made for you and me.
Starting bid is $399 w no reserve.

Rainy Night in Tulsa
This is a painting that I did from a photo of Tulsa at night that I took last year. The photo was just after a rain and I wanted to make this painting a little later in the evening and a little more rainy. I just darkened everything a bit and softened some edges w some diagonal brush strokes to indicate both rain and fog. Hopefully I was able to pull it off. This one is for sale by auction through my ebay gallery or you may contact me directly for purchase.
